Steamed salmon, quick and easy recipe with the microwave

Steamed salmon, cooked in the microwave oven with 10 minutes of cooking, a light second course, perfect for people who follow a controlled diet or for people who love foods with fat-free cooking, to better savor the flavor of fish.

The steamed salmon is perfect to be consumed with a drizzle of oil, lemon juice, and salt and a few sprigs of chives, or you can make a salad perhaps adding boiled potatoes.

We used a little secret to give the salmon more flavor, we added a bay leaf to the steam cooking water, which perfumes your preparation and even the microwave!

Ingredients

  • Fresh salmon 300 g
  • Bay leaf 1 leaf
  • for the citronette
  • lemon 1
  • Extra virgin olive oil 60 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • for decoration
  • Chives to taste

Preparation

Wash the fresh salmon steak well, remove any thorns and place it on the plate of the steaming pot, put two fingers of water in the base of the pot and a bay leaf, cover with the lid and put the pot in the microwave, cook at 600W for 10 minutes (we always advise you to check the cooking, it varies in the thickness and size of the salmon).

Put the previously filtered lemon juice in a bowl, salt lightly and begin to emulsify the two ingredients, when the salt is completely dissolved, add the pepper and emulsify for a few seconds, add a little at a time and work the mixture until it is well amalgamated.

Place the steamed salmon on a serving dish, decorate it with the chives leaves and serve with the prepared citronette.
