How to sit properly at the computer

Without going any further, now you’ll be sitting in front of a computer to read this article. But too much time sitting at a screen can have bad consequences for your back and your sight. So we want to teach you how to sit properly at the computer.
How to sit properly at the computer
Poor posture at the computer can cause contractures and back pain. Fortunately, you can save several sessions of physio if you do things right to sit.
For starters, both feet should be flat on the floor, so nothing to keep them in the air. On the other hand, they must have sufficient space under the table to move freely. Experts also recommend that your knees are slightly below the hips (not above).
The back should be straight and leaning against the back of the chair, which should form an angle of 100 to 110 degrees with the seat. It is recommended that both the bottom and upper back have support.
Another important point, height and distance from the screen. The height of the monitor should be such that we can see our neck well being in a relaxed position. As for the distance, it is recommended that your eyes are between 45 and 70 cm of the screen. If you do not have a ruler handy, that’s more or less the length of your arm, so if you stretch your arm and just get to the monitor, you are a good distance.

What height should be the keyboard? Ideally, that is just above the elbow, thus avoiding having to take a forced posture for writing. Sit near the keyboard.
As for time, it is recommended that breaks every 45 or 60 minutes. Take the opportunity to stretch your legs and drink some water. Your eyes will also notice fatigue, so looks away from the screen every half hour and cover them with your hands for a few seconds. Your back, your eyes and your concentration will thank you. Of course, it is strictly forbidden to eat in front of the computer.
